The Congregation of the Ursuline sisters of Tildonk, Belgium is one of the branches of the Order of the Ursuline sisters founded by St.Angela Merici in Brecia,Italy in 1535. It was the first active women religious Congregation. They spread out in Europe. Fr.John Cornelius Martin Lambertz, the parish Priest of Tildonk started the congregation of the Ursuline sisters of Tildonk, Belgium in 1818 for the education of the children. Now it has grown into a big Institution spreading in Belgium, India, Canada, United States of America, North America and Republic of Congo.
